What do the mass graves say?
One time Polish partisans came to the village of Gębice. The Germans found out. They surrounded the village and started to set the buildings on fire. People were crying and running away. The Germans were catching mothers with children and throwing them into the fire. A lot of [illegible] orphans were left. The men, however, were ordered to take their shovels and were led to the forest. In the forest the Germans were beating them and asking where the partisans were, and in the end all the men were executed.
