Memories of German crimes
The Germans killed [innocent] people. They took them to the forest and murdered them. They took men and pushed them into the woods [to look for] partisans. In Gębice, the Germans took the men to the forest, burned the houses, and expelled the women. They selected men for labor in Germany or ordered them to dig trenches. They took animals and transported them to Germany. I was running away with the cow, and then the Germans started shooting, and I was terrified. I was home alone when the Germans came for the men.
