WŁADYSŁAW SZPILIS

Kielce, 29 February 1948, 12.00 a. m. Stefan Młodawski from the Criminal Investigation Section of the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, on the instruction of the Prosecutor from the Regional District Court Prosecutor’s Office in Kielce, dated 10 December 1947, no. 5/47, with the participation of court reporter Jan Zielono, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations, the witness testified as follows:

Name and surname Władysław Szpilis
Parents’ names Andrzej and Maria, née Bałdyst
Age 50 years old
Place of birth Dąbrowa Górnicza, Będzin district
Religious affiliation Roman Catholic
Occupation disabled person
Place of residence Kielce, 1 Maja Street 75

During the occupation I lived in Kielce, and my son Bogdan Władysław worked there in the Granat factory.

On 23 June 1944, as a result of betrayal by German informer Edward Mąciński, my son was arrested by the Gestapo and on 6 July 1944, he was executed at the Stadium with his companions.

The following people took part in the execution: the informer, Edward Mąciński, former director of the Granat factory (who was executed by the underground organization in 1944), and the Gestapo.

At this point the report was concluded, read out and signed.
