I was arrested in 1940 in Zaleszczyki. I was incarcerated in prisons in Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Moscow. In Chernihiv I was sentenced to five years. Up until the trial I was imprisoned either in a single cell or in the punishment cell, and after the sentence was imposed on me I was deported to a camp in Mordovian ASSR. I labored very hard there, constantly guarded, up until the amnesty.
Following the amnesty, in October, I was released. I went straight to the 5th Infantry Division in Jalalabad, where with luck I managed to live somehow, but I would prefer to talk about it in person.
