As regards the hanging of 10 hostages, I know that in 1943, in the month of May, the Germans came to the forester’s lodge in Nowa Wieś, and brought with them approximately 20 people and some poles and boards. Having summoned the people from the village and its vicinity, the Germans ordered that a gallows be built. When the hostages erected the gallows, 10 of them were hanged, and the other 10 had to help in the hanging. When a doctor declared the hanged hostages dead, the Germans took the bodies and the 10 hostages who were alive and left in an unknown direction.
