As a prisoner in the concentration camp in Auschwitz, I was assigned to work at the pharmacy. My duties included sorting various items that formerly belonged to the prisoners who had had to submit themselves to baths, which were required for hygienic reasons. The pharmacist, Dr. Capesius, was in charge of the pharmacy I worked at. Many times, I saw Dr. Capesius appropriate various valuable items left by the prisoners.

Next to the pharmacy, there was also a dental facility for the SS. Gold teeth of the gassed prisoners, as well as dental caps, dentures, bridges, and so forth, were brought there in large quantities in order to be recast. Chests with gold teeth or dental caps were stored in the room in which we worked. By the order of Capesius, prisoners would take the more valuable pieces of gold out of the chests, and Capesius himself would recast and appropriate the gold afterward.

The report was read out and signed.
