On 8 November 1947, in Końskie, lawyer Stanisław Dębniak, member of the District Commission for the Investigation of German Crimes in Radom, with its headquarters in Końskie, heard the person named below as an unsworn witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the witness testified as follows:

On 15 March 1943, the Germans surrounded the village of Sobień and arrested 16 men. They transported the arrested people to Auschwitz. They killed the women and children of the arrested and burned the corpses, along with the houses. That day, they shot dead 29 people and burned 10 homesteads.
