The war began on 1 September 1939. I saw the Soviets rushing after the Germans. I saw how they took people to Prussia. I saw how Jews were handcuffed and led behind cars. And I heard people talking about the war. And I saw how the Germans blew up the bridge. The war lasted for six years.
