My wartime experiences

In August 1939, Russian troops crossed the eastern border of Poland. Stołpce was seized, and after a few days Baranowicze. The main front advanced along the Warsaw–Białystok– Baranowicze–Stołpce line.

On the following day, we were forced to take shelter at the eastern railway. There were few people in the shelters. A Russian armored train was about to arrive. The Polish army destroyed the railroad and blew up the train. After a few days, two Russian planes were downed, and a lot of ammunition was found in them.

I knew war from stories and books, but I had the opportunity to see it for the first time. I felt like a young warrior, without whom [missing].
