The Germans’ escape
The Germans destroyed villages and towns when they fled. The Soviet army came in after the Germans and built bridges. The Germans stole all of our most valuable things when they were in our yard, but now the Germans are being bullied, chased off and are hiding like a mouse in its hole. They don’t make a sound.
